MY FAMILY:
My husband, Steve and I have been married 35 years. We have three sons: Joseph, Ben, and Wesley. We have a daughter-in-law, Laura, who is married to our youngest son, Wesley.

MY STORY:
I grew up in a loving and secure home. My parents took us to church, read Bible stories to us, and taught us to pray before our meals and at bedtime. My childhood was a happy one.

When I was around ten years old, one of my classmates was in a house fire. My friend miraculously woke up in time to save herself and her family, but her house burned down completely. It was at that time that I began to think about the certainty of death. I would often lie awake at night too afraid to sleep. I prayed hard that God would take care of us and keep me safe until morning.

It was at a revival meeting several months after that I began to understand God's love and purpose for me. I learned that God loved me and gave His Son Jesus to die to rescue me from my sins and from the sting of death. God had provided everything I needed to be saved. I simply needed to ask Him to forgive my sins and to come into my life. He took my sins and fears and gave me peace in their place. He has kept me in His care through many difficult times. There is nowhere I can go where His love for me is not there. He knows all about me and loves me. I know that one day when I die, I will live with Him.
