IT MATTERS: How You Behave!
Ephesians 6:18-24
Dr. Scott Hanberry

Statement of Affirmation: I pray to God to know Him, to lay my request before Him and to find direction for my daily life.

Today, I want us to consider the truths laid out in Ephesians 6:18-20 regarding Spirit-filled prayer. Prayer is a key component in spiritual conflicts. Pail does not put forth prayer as a weapon, but as the means for utilizing the armor he has already talked about. Prayer is how we put on "the whole armor of God."

1) The _______________ of prayer.

It is always the ____________  _______________ to pray.
It is always ________  _______________ to stop praying!

2) The _______________ of our prayers.

3) The _______________ of our prayers.

All of our praying should be done "in the Spirit." Just as the Christian life is to be lived in the Spirit, Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:16, all prayer is to be prayed "in the Spirit."

~ We pray in the "name of Jesus."

~ We pray according to the will of God & the nature of God.

~ We pray in cooperation with the Spirit of God.
