Isaiah 65

How do you see God? As judge? Police chief? Santa Claus? Genie in a bottle? Loving? Cruel? Distant? Available? Smiling? Angry? Irrelevant? Powerless? Be honest. How you see God is the most important thing about you! Today we will learn how Isaiah gives us a window into the heart of God towards people.

In vs. 1, Isaiah describes people who are not:

___________ for God. ___________ anything from God.

___________ for God.
 ___________ to God.

Secular people who

don’t ____________ God.

In vs. 2-5, Isaiah describes people who are ____________ God.

Religious people who

____________ to ___________ God.

Religion can be a way of hiding from God

How does God view these people? What’s in His heart?

(1) God ______________ Out People Who Don’t Know Him. Jesus came to earth “seeking & saving” (Luke 19:10)

(2) God ______________ Out People Who Claim To Know Him

Jesus calls out those who profess faith & don’t possess faith.

Jesus perfectly carries out the will of the Father
