Today's Message: Living a Life that Counts for God
Text: Daniel 1:8-21
Dr. Scott Hanberry

When we read of the great moral strength of Daniel and the courage
of his character, we must remember that God in Heaven had
sovereignly ordained that he would be blessed by the influence of
Josiah on the throne and Jeremiah in the pulpit. God prepares and
protects His servants. We are called to live out that preparation by
making Godly decisions day by day. Today we will explore four marks
of a life that Counts for God.

(1) ___________________. (Suited to serve.. vs 4)
“God’s preparation of a person is a thing of wonder. He began His
work in your life long before now... We are enamored by what a man
does, God is excited about what a man is.” - David Jeremiah

(2) ___________________. (But Daniel... vs 8)
     Choices shape lives! Decisions matter!
We are called to live ______________________ lives.
     Courage, Conviction, Courtesy, and Confidence!
     Compromise leads to ___________.
Do you draw lines where God’s Word draws lines?

(3) ___________________ (Now God... vs 9)
”There is no place like the safety of being in God’s will You get out of
God’s will and you are on your own.” Adrian Rogers

(4) ___________________ (Daniel Remained... vs 21)

SO WHAT, NOW WHAT? Application Takeaways:

The world continually tries to reprogram us into
a different way of thinking.

We must make up our minds in advance we will be
loyal to God.

Godly convictions yield God-given rewards.
