Today's Message: The Best (and Worst) is Yet to Come
Text: Daniel 7:1-10
From our point of view, we have reached higher & higher levels of civilization & sophistication. We have bathtubs & gas barbecues, computers & electric cars. We put men on the moon & perform surgeries robotically. We glory in the advances & achievements of civilization, but God clearly sees human history as a chronicle of immorality, brutality, & depravity. Governments and political leaders may mask their true character from people for a time, but they are unmasked before God. As human history unfolds it does not get better, it gets worse. Christians should filter current events through the lens of eternity, for when we see nation after nation come and go with coups, plots, and rebellions, the chaos is like the turmoil of the sea that Daniel saw in his dream. Do not fear or fret...God in Heaven is in control.
