Joy: God Lifts Up the Lowly

December 13, 2020 Series: The Promise of Christmas

Scripture: Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:46–55

God came to us as a baby, born to a peasant family living in poverty in a backwater country of the Roman Empire 2000 years ago. The boy was born in a first century parking garage, with night shift shepherds first to welcome him to the world, while the king of that region was left out. God lifts up the lowly and brings down the proud. Let us humble ourselves before God this Christmas season. Let's see it as our mission this year to look for those who need someone to come alongside of them and offer encouragement.
