A Word About The Week!

How has your journey been this week? Experiencing the passion of Jesus throughout this week in devotions, through worship experiences, and with the "EasterNow" app can be a moving experience and now, we move toward the crescendo of the week... the resurrection!

On Thursday night at 6:00 p.m., we will continue following the story as we look at the Lord’s Supper and see the mercy and humility of our Savior. As Christ offered bread and wine as symbolic representation of the cross, these elements demonstrated both the severity of sin and remedy of the Messiah.

We ask that you enter the service in silence... The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for a time of silent and prayerful meditation. The mood that night was somber and sobering. Jesus knew what awaited, and yet He spoke the words of a wedding proposal - I have longed to drink this cup with you and I will not drink it again until we share it in my Father's Kingdom!

As you take the Lord’s Supper, remember the cross. Remember the great price Jesus paid in order to set you free. Let the Maundy Thursday service prepare your heart for the sorrow and suffering of Good Friday and the deafening hush and uncertainty of silent Saturday. These pain-filled days of reflection are contrasted by the exuberent celebration and the glory of Resurrection Sunday!
