A Word About the Weekend

SUNDAY, March 7, 2021

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

Can you imagine if God turned against you? Can you imagine what it would be like to stand in direct opposition to the God of the Universe? Over and over in Scripture, the Bible says that God opposes the proud. 

Here are a few examples:

Psalm 138:6
Proverbs 3:34
Proverbs 29:23
Matthew 23:12
Luke 1:52
James 4:6
1 Peter 5:5

This Sunday, I will be preaching on "Cultivating Humility". I am so excited about our Journey through the words of Jesus in Matthew 5 most often called, "The Beatitudes". 

This weekend, we will continue to explore Matthew 5:3... "Blessed are the poor in spirit" and we will see that God's desire is that we "clothe ourselves" in humility! Make plans to join us!
